If NYC had a graphic style guide…

It would be as follows:
Medium-toned blue with white Helvetica Bold, and slightly tight letter spacing. (See ConEd for reference.)

This newsstand must date back to the late 70’s or 80’s. Helvetica seems so out of brand for the New York Times

I’ll even New York-ify my blog. To be fair, it’s Alte Haas Grotesk (which tries to replicate the forms of Haas Grotesk, and simulates worn edges / ink bleed of older typesettings.) It looks a bit more New York.

    This is definitely 80’s, early 90’s NYT. I remember seeing the blue boxes as a kid.
