Feb 24, 2010 Plaques

Thanks Mr. Carnegie

This is one of the things I really love about New York, is that a lot of cultural institutions were started as gifts from wealthy philanthropists in the past. Most, like the library in my neighborhood; bear plaques of their founding, construction and a thanks to the donor.

As much as identities do change, these kind of plaques permanently carry the design sense of their time.
