Getting any sort of design or typography related decoration in my apartment is an uphill battle with the girlfriend.
Helvetica posters from Build? Out.
Josef-Müller Brockman prints from Blanka? Also Out.
MoMA Calendar? Vignelli subway map? All Out.
But, luckily. The Crate & Barrel wooden ampersand was a go.
It’s a nice solid, single carved piece of wood, that is surprisingly heavy.
