What an awesome way to name a building. It’s the Corner.
I wish there was some way to know how old that sign is. The green does look painted to create the appearance of an antiquated molding. I was trying to figure out the typeface too, but that indeed may be custom. Check out the lone serif on the C. And the great little ampersand between Koster & Bial, which I assume are the building’s owners?
Tip: There’s a great little deli at the ground floor, not surprisingly called “The Corner Cafe” It’s a nice place. The usual midtown deli stuff, which is a little bit of everything. But I like it.
