I wonder what the *cee & Schoenfeld Company used to do.
This is something I always love fantasizing about in New York with these old forgotten ads, what was it like the few weeks these ads were being painted? How would they even plan for a sign this large?
It’s amazing how balanced the forms are vertically. What made them use a block-serif with “Eurostyle” rounded corners on C’s, O’s and S’s. Very refreshingly simple signage from times past.
