Most larger towers in New York have two entrances.
One, the large fancy entrance (with a doorman if you’re rich or lucky) with big doors, and buzzers to let delivery guys in.
The other, is the forgotten bastard child, the freight / service entrance. These are usually the saddest doors. Some painted an ambiguous black, others with a tacky stencil spraypaint sign. (Ironically, these tend to be great places to tag graffiti, and sticker bomb) These big doors are the way deliveries and furniture can make it’s way up to the tallest floors, and through the widest entrances.
It’s rare to see one with such detailed lettering. Love the typeface.
